Conditions

GUEST HEALTH

  • For the well being of all our other feline guests: only cats in full health may stay with us.

  • No cat suffering from, or suspected to be suffering from, any infectious or contagious diseases can be accepted.

  • All cats will be examined on arrival, and the proprietor reserves the right to refuse admission to any cat showing signs of ill health. Owners will appreciate that this is essential in order to safeguard the health of all cats boarded.

  • Male cats over the age of nine months that have not been neutered cannot be boarded.

  • All cats MUST be immunised against Feline Infectious Enteritis and Upper Respiratory Infections (Cat Flu). Owners MUST produce an up-to-date inoculation certificate on arrival.

  • Owners are also kindly requested to ensure their cat's flea and worm treatment is up to date. Any cats found to have fleas post check in will be treated and the owner will be required to pay for such treatment upon collection.

MEDICATION

  • Cats will not be accepted who are on medication for life threatening illnesses or have been diagnosed with infectious diseases.

  • Cats on medication will only be accepted if the medication can be given with food (due to the risk of injury to staff).

  • It is our priority to secure the welfare of your cat and other guests, by doing so we ask that all our guests are fully vaccinated against feline infectious diseases and provide up-to-date vaccination certificates on arrival.  Treatment for worming and de-fleeing should be undertaken regularly at home. If medication is required we are happy to administer it

VETERINARY COSTS

  • Clients are reminded that they are responsible for any veterinary costs incurred.

  • In the case of accident, injury or sickness, your cat will be taken to our Veterinary surgery for treatment (Shield, Bishops Waltham) and if necessary your own veterinary surgeon will be contacted. Animal welfare is our primary concern.

  • Veterinary attendance is assured 24 hours a day (should it be considered necessary) and any treatment prescribed by a veterinary surgeon will be continued during the cat's stay.

RESERVATIONS

  • At busy times of the year (Bank Holidays, School Holidays and Christmas) we would advise you confirm your reservation by telephone at least four weeks in advance.

  • We cannot accept unscheduled arrivals, check outs or viewings.

ARRIVAL & COLLECTION

  • Only a very few seasoned travelers take kindly to journeys. With this in mind owners are strongly advised to put their cat into a suitable basket or carrier when carrying the cat into a new environment.

  • Visitors are politely requested not to touch any cat other than their own.

  • If you cannot collect your cat/s yourself, please ensure that the person you send will be able to handle your cat/s. We urge all our customers to transport their pets to and from us in an approved cat carrier.
